CHRIS MAKOLI IS COMING FOR EVERYTHING.

Chris Makoli’s come-up is coming beautifully as he has emerged as a TikTok star and venturing into modelling.

TikTok: uMChrisana

Chris Makoli is the Next Up TikTok star from Komani. Chris has gained 11.8K followers and 236.8K likes on the app. He has been followed by microcelebrities, Seemah and Sphokuhle N, to name the least.

“That was crazy! Okay. Firstly, people on campus started talking about me, calling me by ‘uMChrisana’, my TikTok user name. They sent me screenshots showing that I am trending on TikTok, with Seemah and Sphokuhle N having followed me. Even last week, this lady who’s a cashier at Burger King screamed when she saw me. I got invited to this content creator’s event in Braam two months back and last week Saturday, to this LGBT+ event as a motivational speaker.”

Chris stated that his vulgar content is not brand-friendly, and he understands why he can’t get campaigns yet. He added that he is open to censoring his content if it means securing the bag.

eKasi Fashion Week (supplied)

He was part of eKasi Fashion Week recently, where he didn’t win the contest but will continue to enter since it was his first time.

“eKasi Fashion Week is all about street fashion, local models, and they promote local designers. It is sponsored by Cotton On & Factory. Zee (Zanele), who was the organiser for the last event invited me cause she says she believed I could make a great model and she was not wrong, although I didn’t win last time but I’m looking forward to other events.”

He says the experience was great, especially with how things were handled with care and patience for his first time.

On another note, Chris hasn’t stopped making music other than being on the look for a new R&B producer.

“Honestly, I didn’t stop. In Springs, there are producers for House, Gqom, and AmaPiano, no one makes beats for R&B and Pop since it’s not a popular genre in South Africa. Plus Khazer also makes Hip Hop beats and my former producer, Power T,we are not on speaking terms. I don’t know what happened, I still love music and I hope in future I get to make music.

He concluded by telling his plans:

“Right now, I just wanna be eKasi Fashion Week’s Top model, I’ve been working very hard but I would like to get more gig on tik tok too but I don’t see that happening because of my vulgar tik tok content.”
