Nasiphi Tyali answers seven burning questions about catfishing, sharists, and entertainment.

Q: Where is the story about you being a catfish coming from and how did you feel about such a hilarious assumption?

A: Well, as some of my Facebook mutuals know, I used to expose catfish accounts on here for fun. At first, I was just exposing minor accounts then I moved on to major ones with about 50k followers and I think most people were shocked because they genuinely thought these accounts were legit and most would ask how I figure it out and honestly it’s all about the picture quality and the content they post. Also, being a frequent Insta user I’d see some influencers indicate that they don’t have FB accounts. Me being called a catfish was a joke because I hardly posted any stories, only a few individuals on here had seen me F2F and I had never gone live like ever! So some would put 2 and 2 together and say the reason why I’m good at finding catfish accounts is because I’m one myself. I don’t take most things on this app seriously so I also rolled with the catfish assumption and made jokes out of it.

Q: How different is your sharist personality from your real-time one?

A: Completely different people I’d say. I wouldn’t say half of the things I post online in real life because I’m a coward I won’t lie but I feel like most sharists are like that in real life, we live out our goofy extroverted personalities that we can’t express in real life.

Q: You have a good thing going on with positioning when taking selfies. Would you ever take a gig as a face model for a commercial?

A: Of course, I would, although I’ve never thought of going as far as modelling. I think I’d love it.

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time except getting on people’s nerves as a Queen of sharists?

A: Not much to be honest, if I’m not online then I’m probably on TikTok.

Q: What’s your go-to-listen to musician when you are not feeling like yourself and what song?

A: Definitely Daniel Caesar and Japanese Denim, it’s not really about the lyrics but about how soothing his voice is, puts me in a good mood instantly, even though he has some controversial opinions. I’ve learned to separate the artist from the music in his case.

Q: Who is your favourite actor and actress, and what is your favourite movie and TV series?

A: Will Smith and Angela Bassett. I’m a marvel fanatic so I can’t really choose a favourite movie, anything marvel does for me and my favourite TV series is Grey’s Anatomy.

Q: If for a day you were the opposite gender, what are the first three things you’d do?

A: Haaaaa I can’t even think of one thing.
