The Hexagon High scholar, Hlumelo Frans has been the talk of the town with her consistent victories in her modelling career. Her drive, ambition, and passion is what has been the root of her fruitful modelling career and against all the hate that has been thrown at her, she prevailed.

Miss Ndlovukazi 2020, Miss Ndlovukazi Viewers Choice 2020, Miss Schools Eastern Cape Finalist 2020, Miss Schools Eastern Cape Viewers Choice 2020 and Miss Teen Queenstown 1st Princess 2021, Hlumelo Frans has had such a progressive career in modelling. She has built her image to fit the motivational, influential, kind-hearted and professional person she always portrays. A personality embodied by her mother. Frans’s modelling journey started when she entered her first pageant in St. Theresa in grade 1 in 2010. She didn’t know her capabilities though because she was a child who was doing what every beautiful girl does. In 2016, she tried for Miss Schools Eastern Cape but she had no courage to walk the talk. She had a stage fright. Miss Schools Eastern Cape founder, Thando Nyangintaka is one person that amputated her doubtability of showing the audience what she has in store. After such setback, she went back and did her homework. She had to kill the stage fright and the modern, fearless and hungry Frans ignited. Her first official physical pageant appearance was at Ekuphumleni Community when she won Miss Ndlovukazi 2021 crown.

The dawn of Frans was the dusk of others or according to Mbasa Peter that was vocal about Frans taking space for others by continuously entering these pageants. “Honestly, I have nothing to say because firstly I am not doing this for anyone and secondly I am doing all this for myself. I’ve entered this industry knowing that not everyone will like me. For example, I had people sliding in my DMs saying that I inspire them but surprisingly they were the first to jump and troll me. I loved the way I have reacted which showed that I’ve grown. I kept quiet and I didn’t even want to fight Mbasa and others. I have nothing much to say despite the fact that people will always find something to say whether you do good or bad.” Frans said.

“The next big thing awaiting me? I hope that you will understand. I am practicing that thing of moving in silence so that people see the greatness of me without announcement. It is because people are witchy. I can announce the biggest move and see it not attaining traction the next day but I’ve entered for Miss Teens Universe 2022 nonetheless. I can’t compete this year for the pageant because I am doing matric.” Frans added. “To all the girls that are inspired by be and are aspiring models, there’s nothing more important than accepting yourself. When you have accepted yourself. You fully understand that there are different kind of beautiful and you don’t have to fit to someone’s beauty. Modelling needs someone with self-esteem because you have to constantly remind yourself that you are the IT girl. Lastly, modelling is not about being an inspiration but doing what you love and good at. Inspiration comes with the package.” Frans concluded.
