Dirty Steez founder, Zuqhame Gali and then Blvck045 Clothing brand brand ambassador, Liyema Majikela known as Dash have created a new wave of tees in Komani that with their customs. They have made the tees dirty. They started the brand by customising tees which they popularly customised VANS t-shirts. “It was actually ‘dirty tees’ because we started by tie dying t-shirts. Then one of us came up with the name Dirty Steez because tie dyed t-shirts are a steez , in a way.” Gali said. Gali revealed that he was never a Blvck045 Clothing brand ambassador/model and he was just helping a friend when he was modelling for the brand in Miss Schools Eastern Cape 2020. He said that he is appreciative of the opportunity of modelling in Miss Schools Eastern Cape 2020 pageant because people recognised him from the event when he dropped his own merch. In the history of local clothing brands, Dirty Steez remains the only brand that scooped brand ambassadors that were more than five which amongst them were Yamkela Kalolo, Lukho Fani, Zintle Mandindi and Nicholas Kuhle Dimaza to name a few. “By getting a lot of ambassadors was to put our brand out there , and yes I did achieve what I wanted to achieve by getting that number of ambassadors.” Gali said. Dirty Steez is for everyone who is interested to wear the brand and is available for consumption. You can easily text the founder and co-founder on their personal Facebook account or DM on the brands page, D I R T Y S T E E Z.
