Ngqwala grew up as a kid that was fascinated by PicMix and PicArt as a high school scholar. For him, it was the fact that you can edit a picture and it comes out as something different. The first camera he owned, he got it from Prince Whyte. In the long run, the camera cracked and was not functional. He was then stranded and after the camera was damaged. He moved from Komani to George where he learnt more about photography on YouTube. He would ask help from likes of Olwethu Maplanka, Photo Scamto founder to advance his photography skills. He told himself, “You know what? I am passionate about this thing.”. He got himself a camera that got him experiencing a lot . His aspirations are inspired by Trevor Stuurman , Peter McKinnon(YouTuber), Peter Magubane(apartheid photographer), and Ivy Max(videographer). “Ivy Max whose real name is Nkosi Makabongwe is one of those guys who pushed me to go beyond my limit.” he said. Ivy Max is the gent that inspired Ngqwala to make a masterpiece out of a music video of an NMU artist and it was well received by institution’s students who applauded it accordingly.

Nelson Mandela University (NMU) has been all the goodness to rescue Ngqwala from a far fetched dream. NMU is where he shot his debut film, TOMORROW that was done by NMU students as an experimental movie and written by Yandisa Ntseku. The film was a zero budget and everything production came from the cast. The young actors on the film are all first time actors and the movie is uploaded on Ngqwala’s YouTube channel, NdinjeQha Films. The concerts he would love to part of its production are Global Citizens Festival, Brazil Carnivals, Spring Break and CottonFest. The peak of his career of his career would be when he buys his mother a house. “I want NdinjeQha Films to be a brand that helps Africans to tell their stories uncut and without shame.” he concluded.
