Simbongile Baba, whose musically known as Easy Dee has released an extended playlist (EP), Izi, named after his son.

Easy Dee has been one of the most active acts from Ezibeleni and his latest project has proved how his hunger will pave way for him to greener pastures. His latest body of work, Izi EP is a compilation of different sounds that display Kasi rap, dance & soulful music.

Easy Dee says that he curated the EP for his son, Izi. He disclosed how they were not seeing eye to eye when the baby mama was pregnant. He further elaborated that she acted like that because of pregnancy moods. His son was born on 11 December 2021, and as much as he hoped to be by his baby mama & child, he was prevented by the baby mama, family & friends. He fixed things w/ his baby mama by February which blew up faster than stick fire & he was yet again blocked from seeing his son. He would randomly report to his baby mama’s mother to see his son, although at the time he was not allowed to hold or take the child w/ him. Fortunately, he is now in good terms w/ his baby mama’s family & he sees his son whenever.

Easy Dee curated the project under the impression of showing his kid state of mind the whole time he was distanced from him. The project is a compilation of kasi rap, dance & soulful music. He added that the project is also dedicated to everyone in his community that ever believed in him & respects him.

He opens up about how the municipality has been turning a blind eye towards the black community. Outside of music, he also wants to impact many people’s lives in a positive way. He also added that he’s not into music specifically for monetary value, the monetary value will be a bonus for how people react to his craft & passion. He’s also working w/ Lay Lay, Pretty Rick, & other prominent figures in the Xhosa rap industry.

Easy Dee accuses Big Xhosa of stealing his Qeqa Lawei album art cover to sell merch. He had before posted about the matter and no legal actions had been since taken.
