Tyomza Uchiha is a dancer, fashion model, and painter. I had a chat with him about his journey and rise to fame.

Contrary to popular belief, Tyomza was not the kid who used to be constantly bothered to dance for the guest in the house. He was a shy person growing up and explored his dancing skills when he was with friends. Groove is the place that gave him the leverage to face his deepest fear; being looked at. His fame peaked when he used to host dance battles with friends at Mlungisi Stadium. He looks up to Hlogi Mash and is looking to be a choreographer in the future like her.
In terms of fashion, Tyomza is a late bloomer. Mlungisi Stadium was a hub where Komani teenagers met and mingled in 2020. Like any other hub full of girls, guys are bound to dress to impress and he was no exception. Tshego Koke is the man who made him see fashion beyond being a spectacle for girls. Since then, wearing clean and dripping boosted his confidence, and that’s when he ventured into fashion. He recently was a part of Francé‘s vintage shoot with Ondelala Blom and Wise VSOP. He said that it was an enjoyable shoot since the three of them knew each other.

Tyomza updated his resumé in the Arts department a month ago when he started customising clothes. He added that it’s difficult to draw on fabrics because the texture of the same as paper but T-shirts are easy to draw on. He concluded that he used fabric paint for his shoes since he couldn’t find the leather paint.
