Zcasm have been making waves ever since she released her Rn’B single, Oktober Nights eight months ago. Her debut Rn’B single is now available on all digital platforms.
No Brains rapper has had a successful start-up in her career with only five songs under her name, NFA, PK Drop Out, No Brains, RespectFreestyle and Oktober Nights respectively. The commencement of her career has to be the one of the weirdest for an artist that is residing in a small town like Ezibeleni, Komani. The first ever person to get the chance to further curate this grand potential is the first artist to have his Facebook verified in Komani, Lwazi GB. Zcasm saw Lwazi GB in 2014 in music sessions Lwazi GB mostly performed at. They apparently knew each other but Zcasm was still in a closet with her great gift. She later on saw Lwazi GB’s post on Facebook that he’s selling beats. It was her first encounter with such professionalism in Komani because she knew of artists who used downloaded beats. Which from her perspection was not a great way for Zcasm to start a serious career. She then decided to contact Lwazi GB for a beat and he gave her beats. It was her lucky day. She did a song over a week and went to record at Cash Unit Records studio that is owned by Lwazi GB. She recorded her first song, NFA which made Zcasm want to stay glued to Lwazi GB because he had great sound quality. Their partnership grew and Lwazi GB and K. Bantwana of Cash Unit Records played brother roles to Zcasm until today. “We are just a team. I don’t want to say a squad or crew but everyone is doing their own thing and is fully supported by others. Anyone can decide to go anytime and there will be no problem.” Zcasm said when she was asked if she is signed under Cash Unit Records.
Last year is sure the greatest of all times in Zcasm’s career. She got to fill the shoes of the likes of Costa Titch, Indigo Stella, Yuang, Kash CPT and Lucasraps first edition of sportscene PUT ME ON competition as she was on the top 5 of second edition. The sportscene PUT ME ON competition had 4 000 entries last year. “I felt proud nonetheless.” Zcasm said. “People from Queenstown, especially female rappers and singers. They should start now and should believe in themselves.” Zcasm said in motivating his peers that might have found inspiration in her position. Zcasm said that she can’t say that she was overwhelmed about being the top 5 out of 4 000 entries for second edition of sportscene PUT ME ON competition because she already had something bigger than that but she won’t reveal just yet. Zcasm has always shown that she doesn’t sit herself fit in the Komani hip hop scene and according to her, it is because of unnecessary beefs. “Niggas in Komani sneak beefed me after I had a beef with another artist in 2018 if I was not mistaken. I am the kind of a person that track everyone’s move so that I could know where do I stand with someone. There is few artists I could feature though and Savage T has to be one of them and Jimmy Backwoods.” she said. As a big brand she is, she is charging for a feature and bookings but couldn’t reveal her ratings. She said the ratings will increase as much as her status. There’s a promising EP coming from Zcasm and the only thing she promises to his fans is originality and telling more of her real life stories. She will indeed be different than before. When she was asked about going back to modelling as Miss Kingdom 2018, she said, “Modelling? I wasn’t even serious about that before. Nope. But now I’m a brand, who knows what’s next?”.
