KAYLA- FUTURE MISS ALL

Kamvalethu Ratele have proven to be nothing other than the best in Khweza’s dancing scene.

“It all started with me having to dance to every beat I’d hear at an early age. My family tells me that I’d dance to the theme song of Generations and everything that had a beat as early as 4. I guess it’s within me, it grew and I started dancing at school functions. Mind you, I wasn’t much of a people’s person back then but as I became older and my social base got broader. My confidence widened and I was able to even make videos of myself dancing. Queen Vee’s Dance Crew saw my videos and contacted me to become one of them. The journey has been thrilling ever since.”

Ratele who later became part of a Komani-based dance crew, Costra Nostra that was instituted to be Khweza’s Finest rivals says that the dance crew wasn’t ideally serious about getting off the ground. She was willing to participate and teach the upcomings even though she barely came to Komani but seemingly the dance crew members weren’t serious. Meet ups failed, sending of videos was a mess. Ratele believes that if Costra Nostra members were serious enough, the crew would’ve been something solid currently.

Ratele undoubtedly has one of the best digital content in Komani and her influence couldn’t let brands like Blvck045 Clothing, Get-Down Clothing and Smoke Clothing stand on their toes. Unfortunately, she missed a shoot with Blvck045 and declined the offer of the two brands. She helped promote Luxolo Mvula’s Chaser Clothing as a favour since they are friends.

Being Kamva comes with drama wrapped in a box and since 2019, her relationship with Bhut’Zukhanye Rencho was tested. She denied commenting on how all the drama from Facebook about her relationship with Rencho affected both of them behind the scenes. She confirmed that they are still together.

“Me being involved in that saga affected me when it first occured because I didn’t expect it nor knew how to react to it and that was in 2019. As time went by and it continuously happened, it didn’t really have any impact on me. Instead, it just boosted my social media base as I was the victim and people loved how I handled things. I won’t deny the fact that there were times I’d be dull and think about all the drama and bad deeds my gender pulled upon me. But as the girl that I am I always told myself that a setback is another setup for a comeback and it definitely did that.”

Ratele suffered the most after facing the reality of starting afresh after her Facebook account was hacked. It wasn’t easy for her because she had to start from scratch to build her then solid followership. She bounced back because she regained her followers although her mental health had to pay the price because she is still unaware of what agenda the hacker had concerning her previous account. Always addressing herself as “Future Miss All”, Ratele is shooting for the galaxies wherever her milky way directs her. She has a career to pursue other than dance that will always be part of her life as a part time thing.
