SAVAGE T CURATES THE PLUG UNIVERSE

Ezibeleni born superstar, Savage T started by proving that he can really rap to Queen’s College lads, only to realize that he can really rap when he wants to.

Savage T grew up loving using rhyming words, and during his ninth grade, his talent was tested. Queen’s College lads would pick him for a rap battle where he first became anxious about it until one day, he saw that he had to prove that he’s a rapper. When T exceeded his expectations on those rap battles and lads were impressed, he knew from right there that he could spit. In 2019, Savage recorded his first song, Fake Niggas which he recorded at Relic’s flat that he got introduced to by Ivan Banks. That’s when T started witnessing his growth because it’s the first song he performed at Ezibeleni and people saw potential in him.

“Kid Tini always satisfied my inner peace from the first time I heard him. He somehow made me love rap and whenever I jam to his music, he gives me the adrenaline to work harder on my pen game, if you know what I mean.”

Savage T said that Blxck X and JayFalis have been working with him ever since 10th grade and they offered him pro-bono studio sessions at the time just because they believed in him. Savage also added that P.L.U.G is actually an abbreviation for “Passion, Loving, Unique Gentleman.” which explains T’s universe and image in a nutshell.

In 2020, Savage T and Patrick$$on gave us a duo E.P titled Late Nights.

“The time we did the E.P was when we were both heartbroken, simultaneously… What a coincidence! So we both poured out what we were feeling. We then decided to record this and vividly paint a picture of our emotions. Somewhere, somehow, a wonderful masterpiece was constructed. Since we did those songs at night we decided to name the E.P Late Nights.”

Yesterday, Savage T dropped his latest project, The Plug Mixtape compiled of eight songs. He dropped the mixtape on his 18th birthday which features Curtis on Lifestyle song.

“My belief is that people love different genres and this mixtape is a compilation of different genres. So with this mixtape, I hope that a variety of people will relate to the songs I crafted for them.”

Savage T concluded that he has no power over whoever is envious of his craft. He cannot force to be loved but he hopes that someday, the envious kid will find the message mined under those verses he pens.
