New-Age Generation Trends is taking this opportunity to recognise Hlumelo Frans as the most active model in town and commercially appealing.

“Commercially appealing” may be competitive sounding, and so is the field these girls play on. Hlumelo Frans is birthed by online contests, which are what she hardly prefers now ever since her feet stepped on that live stage. Stage presence is something she knows like the back of her hand when I reached out to her, I couldn’t help asking her about the work done behind the scenes.

Having to maintain your confidence on stage is quite difficult and this is because you’ll never know how your audience will react. However, doing so is mandatory because confidence is one of the things that judges look for. I highly recommend being surrounded by positive people and reminding yourself of the reason behind entering that specific pageant. Atleast that way, you’ll never go wrong with displaying your best version.

She obviously isn’t an overnight success as her hard work reflects from as early as 2020. She has a cult for a fanbase and not only do her followers boost her stage presence with hype but her self-esteem too, says Frans.

Personally , there is nothing nice about online contents. This is because I love being on stage so much and I’d rather have physical contact with the other contestants and get to engage with the audience as well.

The above-quoted statement might have been contradictory for anyone who made her debut modelling appearance on an online contest but not for Frans. Frans is an online success character that was able to turn a virtual character into what you could connect with at a human level. Frans’ latest achievements were scooping Miss Schools Eastern Cape 2022 and Miss Impact Eastern Cape 2022’s first princess titles back-to-back at a week gap. She after made it to Miss Empower Eastern Cape 2022’s top five which was supposedly rigged and had to be restarted today, in which Frans took its title as Miss Empower Eastern Cape 2022.

Miss Empower Eastern Cape 2022 will be hosted again and this is due to the glitches that occurred during the event, glitches that totally disregarded the aim, vision and purpose of the pageant. With those mistakes and errors, the crowning couldn’t proceed because it didn’t serve the purpose of the pageant, hence it’ll be hosted again on the 4th of June. To be honest, I wasn’t mad or anything. I didn’t even feel the need to sweat about it because I believe that of that title and crown was/is truly mine then I’ll definitely get it back again.

Frans is now the reigning Miss Empower Eastern Cape 2022 and there’s not to say that consistency is the holy ghost in her system. It turned out that like she had uttered, the crown is hers. She concluded that competing outside of the province is something coming up although she can’t measure the time frame.
