Prior to reaching the teenage stage, Dean Wolf started rapping, at age 12. He is Ezibeleni originated and had moved to Johanesburg. He is said to come from a musical family and with such genetic advantage, has been able to join the school choir as early as the primary school level. Kendrick Lamar is the blueprint of his career since he drew inspiration from his “How Much a Dollar Cost” song that was released in his 2015 “To Pimp A Butterfly” album. He recorded his first EP in 2019 under Detour Crew.

It’s a conscious rap EP about the struggles of young black people hence it’s called The Young Black and Talented EP. Well, I was still tryna figure what I represent, so when I figured it I dropped my second EP which is the most you heard. Well after I released my first EP while under a an underground label. I came back 2021 with my second EP called The Lift Off EP which is my most recent music. 2022 I unofficialy opened a label called The AMG movement and I was the first artist of the label. The label has introduced a new rapper called Bhudda Blck.

Wolf admires Blxck X and Savage’s work in Komani and would love to work with them, given a chance. He’s currently working on a mixtape, The Ascension Tape, which is a sequel to The Lift Off EP.

It’s about my ascension. Well, I regard myself as a “Rap prophet”, so how am I going to be able to change people’s lives if I can’t change my own? Well, the Ascension Tape tackles that, it’s about me ascending /rising from my own wickedness. Not fighting it but embracing it as a wise man once asked “Is it Wickedness or Weakness?”. So I say its weakness rise from it, just let it pass like a cloud it stays cause you fight it.

He is currently working on opening his independent label, which might take him two years to have on board. Regardless, it will be virtually active on Distrokid
