Sibonisiwe Sboza Daweti has made it her fashion to show up for others when others do it the philanthropic way.

On 14 July 2022, Sibonisiwe Sboza Daweti came forward and asked her Facebook friends to help her raise 67 sanitary pads for 67 minutes of Mandela.

In an excuse for July 18 being a public holiday in South Africa, Sboza held her pad drive and ted talk in Edlelweni Primary School the following day. She was graced by Miss Empower Eastern Cape 2022, Hlumelo Frans’ presence. She had one of her support systems, Sinawo Wiso, assisting her during the course of preparing everything.

The experience was awesome and touching and I enjoyed my self so much. I poured my heart and I was touched by the response of those children, and right there it hit me that I’m impacting lives positively.

The glow and interest in their faces show how Sboza has created a needed platform for these young girls.

Hlumelo Frans, Miss Empower Eastern Cape graced the Edlelweni Primary School classroom and spoke volumes. When I reached out to her, she said that she was doing her duties as the reigning Miss Empower Eastern Cape 2022 and thanked Sboza for availing the platform for her.
